Grief is a process and a journey; whether your grief journey has just begun, or you are years into your grief journey, we are here to hold space and meet you where you are.

Below are the current Bereavement Support Programs being offered.
Partner Loss Support Group
Older Adults – Starts January 21, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m., 8 consecutive weeks
Younger Adults – Starts February 18, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., 8 consecutive weeks
The Partner Loss Support group provides individuals with a chance to connect and share about their loss and grief with others who have also experienced the loss of a partner. This group is an 8-week commitment, with the same participants returning each week.
To participate in the partner loss support group, individuals must be 18 years of age or older and have experienced the death of a partner (Note: this group is inclusive of all partner relationships).
Walking with Grief
Every Other Friday, Resumes January 2, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Walking with Grief meets bi-weekly at walking paths around Burlington. The group provides individuals with a chance to share about their loss and grief while getting out into nature.
To participate in the Walking with Grief group, individuals must be 18 years of age or older and have experienced the death of a person.
Coffee and Connections
Monthly on Mondays, Resumes January 26, 2:00-300 p.m.
Monthly drop-in group for anyone previously involved in Carpenter Hospice groups.
Expressive Arts Drop-In
Every Other Thursday, January 15-March 26, 10:00-11:30 a.m.
Co-facilitated by Music Therapist Avalon Harris and Art Psychotherapy Student Joanna Chow-Fernandes, this open group offers a supportive space to explore emotions through artmaking and music.
Exploring loss through art can be a gentle way to express feelings that may be otherwise difficult to put into words. This group is intended to support connection with others through introductions, artmaking, and reflections.
