Carpenter Hospice is a home in the heart of Burlington that offers both residential-based care to people in the last stages of their lives, and community-based programs for people dealing with grief or a life-limiting illness. It lets residents spend their final days together with loved ones in an environment that is peaceful, comfortable and meaningful. It is staffed by a dedicated team of professionals and volunteers who provide compassionate palliative care to meet residents' every need and ensure that each moment matters.

Carpenter Hospice has been an integral part of Burlington since 2002 thanks to the generosity of the community and is committed to providing support services for those going through life's transitions.

10:00 am: Bereavement Walking Group

February 28, 2017

FREE walking group for adults who are grieving the death of a loved one.

Join trained volunteers for fresh air and exercise with others who are grieving. You can share ideas, receive support, and if you wish, join us at a local coffee shop for further conversation. If you just want to feel supported and not discuss your experience, then that is okay, too!

We try to walk snow, rain or shine. However, in order to maintain safety, we will cancel walks during inclement weather. If Halton schools are closed due to inclement weather, the Bereavement Walking Group will also be cancelled.

You can also call Jackie Storer’s number to confirm cancellations as of 9:00 am on the morning of a scheduled walk.

To register, contact Supportive Care Coordinator Jackie Storer at support@thecarpenterhospice.com or (905) 631-9994 ext 135.
