Carpenter Hospice – Making Moments Matter

The health and well being of staff, volunteers and our community, our #1 priority and we thank you for patience and understanding as we work through navigating this pandemic.

On March 31, 2020 Carpenter Hospice decided to end its temporary occupancy at Joseph Brant Hospital, opening up space for an additional 22 acute inpatient beds for emergency and pandemic care.

Carpenter Hospice has also implemented the following in response to COVID-19:

  • Volunteers: Volunteers and nonessential activities have been cancelled until further notice.
  • Outreach (Wellness/Supportive) care participants: All programs and sessions will be cancelled until further notice.
  • Visitors to Administrative Office: Office is closed to all visitors.
  • Intake: we are unable to accept referrals for hospice residents.
  • Residents: residential care services suspended

The impact of COVID-19 is changing at a rapid pace and we hope these measures will be temporary and we will soon be able to welcome residents, participants, volunteers and donors back into our hospice at 2250 Parkway Drive.  We thank you for your patience, understanding and support.

If you have any questions about our response to COVID-19 please contact Pamela @ 905.631.9994 ext 118. Thank you.

To further protect those around you, we encourage all to practice physical distancing.

We are closely monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation, receiving frequent updates from Public Health Region of HaltonPublic Health OntarioPublic Health Agency of Canada.

All services have been suspended and voice mail will be checked once a day.
