Carpenter Hospice – Making Moments Matter

We are happy to announce that we have almost completed our renovations and will be able to welcome residents into our hospice during the week of June 8, 2020.The health and well being of residents, staff, volunteers and our community is our #1 priority and we thank you for patience and understanding as we work through navigating providing exceptional hospice care during this time.

Carpenter Hospice updated response to COVID-19: 

  • Intake: We are accepting referrals for hospice residential care.
  • Residents: Hospice residential care is resuming with COVID-19 protocols in place.
  • Wellness and Supportive Care participants: Staff are reaching out to participants and will work on building programs via phone and virtual platforms.
  • Visitors: Visitor restrictions are in place and we ask you call ahead to confirm with staff your eligibility for visiting. 
  • Volunteers: Volunteer activities have been suspended with a few exceptions when we can accommodate social distancing.

While COVID-19 has changed some aspects on how we work, it has not changed the philosophy of hospice care and we are excited  to welcome residents back into our hospice at 2250 Parkway Drive.

All Visitors to the hospice will be screened for symptoms and asked to wear a mask.

Carpenter Hospice is a home in the heart of Burlington that offers both residential-based care to people in the last stages of their lives, and community-based programs for people dealing with grief or a life-limiting illness. It lets residents spend their final days together with loved ones in an environment that is peaceful, comfortable and meaningful. It is staffed by a dedicated team of professionals and volunteers who provide compassionate palliative care to meet residents' every need and ensure that each moment matters.

Carpenter Hospice has been an integral part of Burlington since 2002 thanks to the generosity of the community and is committed to providing support services for those going through life's transitions.
