Tournament History
Margie Livingstone/Spyrou was a resident of The Carpenter Hospice in 2006. During her time at the Hospice she was very impressed with the many volunteers and staff who worked selflessly to make her and the other hospice residents, and their families, final days together as comfortable as possible. She asked her husband Vaios to do something special for them.
To honour her request, Vaios and his three children, Christopher, Nicole and Aaron with the support of family and friends organized their first golf tournament for The Carpenter Hospice on September 14, 2007. That year over $26,000 was raised and 42 Hospice volunteers and staff enjoyed the day golfing with the tournament participants.
In the past four years the Margie Livingstone/Spyrou Charity Golf Tournament has raised over $115,000 for The Carpenter Hospice and has provided over 100 Hospice volunteers and staff with the opportunity to participate at the tournament.
The Carpenter Hospice wishes to thank the Livingstone and Spyrou families, their friends, their colleagues and sponsors for their continued support of the Hospice through the organization of and participation at this event. Your support enables us to continue to do what we do for new families who are in need of our services.
This tournament is open to the public to participate in. If you would like to be a golfer check out the 'Tournament Details' and 'How to Register'.
Whether you are a golfer or not, you could also consider sponsoring to allow a Carpenter Hospice volunteer or staff member to participate. For more details on how you can do this please contact Vaios Spyrou at
