RPN Posting
The Carpenter Hospice is a 10 bedded residential hospice delivering palliative care to those dying from a terminal disease, providing a unique and intimate working environment.
We are currently have vacancies for one (1) part-time RPN (22.5 hrs/p/wk) and two (2) casual RPN positions.
The successful candidates will have:
· Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
· 1 years experience working in palliative care desired
· Experience of working with adults with chronic disease or debilitating illness desired
· Evidence of ongoing professional development
· Willingness to work as part of a team, under the direction of the RN, with PSWs and volunteers
· A strong desire to deliver personal care to residents at the hospice and meet the holistic needs of the person and family according to professional practice standards
· Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate in a sensitive and compassionate manner
· Good judgement
Physical demands
8 hour shift work, including days, evenings and nights.
Regularly required stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, stoop, kneel or crouch. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
