Bereavement Program
|
| When a loved one dies, we experience many emotions, as well as physical sensations. On top of this you may be exhausted from the work that you have already done. We encourage you to take care of yourself physically, spiritually and emotionally. This includes good eating habits, even though you may not be hungry, to help your body heal. As well, we recommend that you visit your doctor or other health care professionals to share with him or her, what you have just experienced. This loss may take its toll on your physical health and productivity, and the support of these professionals can help you at this very sad time. Although it is often difficult to do, talking about your feelings can help. It is important to find someone to talk to who can listen and share with you. The Carpenter Hospice offers several bereavement programs in a warm, caring environment led by professionals and supported by bereavement volunteers. |
